This project is headed by Benjy Felsham who has spent the last 12 plus years developing an intelligent search engine that reads and understands the content of the web pages it indexes, just as you or I do. This allows the search engine to have knowledge, not just records. In the next couple of months the project will be complete and our search engine will be ready for testing by our team of Private Beta Testers. If you would like to become one of our Beta Testers, then click on the Beta Test link below to watch the ad and register.
So Why do this ?
To cut out frustration and wasted time from the search engine experience that I and most others experience.
The realisation that if there were two of you working together, the correct results would be found in half the time.
The genuinely held belief that a person’s level of understanding of how to use a computer in terms of search terminology should not directly relate to the quality of the information they are able to access. The search process should have total equality. At the moment it certainly does not.
Give the search engine intelligence and the ability to interact and communicate with its users and it becomes more of an entity, not just a database and a joint effort can be made. A push pull process not simply a pull process.
Despite my dyslexia I can read and understand and I know the basic principles of computers and coding. Therefore I saw no reason why I could not work backwards and work out what the rules and thought processes are that allow me to gain understanding and teach this to a computer so it too can learn and understand.
